This week we found pros and cons of food storage containers by using T-charts and the reciprocal reading work.
First my group and I chose a container to read about. We read the text and summarised the information to get an idea of what the container was used for.
After reading the text we found the pros and cons of the container using a T-chart. We also looked at the images to find the cons.
Then we repeated the work again on different containers.
This is a WIP (work in progress) that will be finished next week.
I am a Year 6 student at Panmure Bridge School, Auckland, New Zealand. My teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilvie.

4 x tables
Multiplication is an easy way to add a large amount of the same number.
For example 4+4+4+4+4 which is adding in 4 groups of five so 4 x 5 = 20.
This slide show will tell you about 4 times table.
L.I to identify multiplication and word problems.

Kiwi Sport: Swimming
Today I practised my water safety skills at the Lagoon Pools.
The first skill I practised was streamline. To do streamline kicking I put my hands pointing above my ears. I had to jump in the water kicking with my legs.
Then I practised rotation kicking. To do rotation kicking I jumped off the platform and had to be in the water rotating my body around.
Lastly I practised the dolphin kick. To do the dolphin kick I jump in the water with our legs together and kicked at the same time. I had to jump in the water and I had to put my back up and down.
I got better at the dolphin kick but I need to improve on my kicking
