Today I used place value to figure out a maths equation.

First, I highlighted the main keywords in the story problem. 

Next, I wrote down the number sentence. 8 x 76 =.

Then, I multplied the ones. 8 x 6 = 48.

Then, I multiplied the tens 8 x 70 = 560.

After, I combined the answers. 560 + 48 = 608.

Lastly, I wrote down the number sentence with the answer.

I was struggling but enjoyed it because I got the strategies and wrote the answer.
